A winter Wedding in Glencoe

It was through our joint love for wild landscapes that brought me into Stewart and Anna’s story. I met Stewart through a mutual musical friend who passed on my details at the mention of their happy engagement and hopes for a winter wedding in the stunning Highlands of Glencoe. I was thrilled to be a witness to their wedding in the beautiful landscapes of Scotland, where their love started a little further afield in the Isle of Skye. One typically blustery day where Stewart was adamant for a final picture on the mountains peak, to no small complaining from Anna, insisting they go down, only to realize that the picture to be taken was to immortalize a very important moment for the two of them. Ofcourse Anna was mortified, exclaiming, ‘That’s it, I’ve ruined it,’ or the romance I take it, when faced with the not-so-favourable weather conditions. Quickly, the elements were momentarily forgotten when she said Yes, and began the descent down the mountain to dry off in their cosy cottage accommodation.

Now fast forward to the day of the wedding, it was full of joyful and nervous laughter, loving bonds between siblings and friends, some of my favourite moments in the mirrored expressions of dad and daughter’s first dance and ofcourse the epic force of the wind for our couple’s mountain escape.

The warmth in the room was palpable, extending far beyond the roaring fire in the hearth, and it was an absolute joy to capture.

To commemorate the winter, Anna chose to accesorize her wonderful winter wonderland dress with deep blue hues for bridesmaid dresses and in celebration of her beautiful sapphire engagement ring.

Special shout-out to the piper who found himself at the top of the hill, yet never failed to entertain and bring a smile to everyone’s faces on multiple occasions.
